I have EZKeys in Logic and created a track. dropped the sequence from EZKeys to the MIDI Track so I can edit the notes.
Everytime, when I start the DAW, no matter where I begin, it plays a bunch of notes before playing what it should.
Sounds like a fast MIDI Reset or something, but it kills me.
Does anybody have an idea how to stop that?
Thanks a lot
Chantal
Are you running the latest version of EZkeys? If you are unsure, please check that with the Product Manager – http://www.toontrack.com/product-manager.
If everything is updated – please let us know.

yes i do, Product Manager Shows EZKeys Version 1.2.4.
I think everything is updated to the latest Version-
Thanks for your help
I’m trying to figure out if it’s the MIDI or the EZkeys plugin that causes this…
Does this only happens when you start to play MIDI that you have dragged from EZkeys to Logic?
What happens if you start Logic and directly after that play just a single note that you have put into a MIDI block in Logic?
Does it make a difference if you un-check “Enable MIDI Out” and “Allow MIDI Program Change” in the main menu up in the top right corner?

Yes , that seems to happen only with the dragged and dropped MIDI Files from EZKeys. When I record a bit and let Logic play, it plays right and it´s not adding a couple of notes, that play at the same time. Checking or unchecking the features “Enable Midi out” and/or “Allow MIDI Program Change ” unfortunately does not solve the problem.
I remember from earlier Logic Versions that there was a setting like “reset Midi on play start” that helped with external MIDI Instruments , but I cant find any similar to that right now. I added a sample to show it sounds.
More investigations:
Bring project to another Computer : Doesn’t change anything
erase everything from EZKeys internal arrange : Doesn’t´t change
remove instance and reopen EZKEys: doesn’t change
remove instance and plugin EXS Sampler with Piano: Effect is gone, Piano plays the right notes at the right time
try out a different song: No bad effect here
Reproduce arrangement: New EZKeys instance, import Midifile from EZKeys Midi/Boogie/Straight 6/8/Chorus/Variation 3: again it is playing badly at the beginning
could this been caused by a bad Midifile? But then again: EXS plays it nicely ……
