OK, so I have been literally months on trying to figure this out and now I’m just not going to let it go until I get it. Sorry, but you will have to put up with me until I understand this. The environment baffles me and I really can only use EZP in a very basic way because of it. So here we go…
This is sooooo hard to explain…
… If i load up EZP and start it running it will play any record armed track in Logic Pro 8.. How do I get EZP pro to only trigger the track I have SD2 on and not another track I’m trying to play EWQL pianos on? EZP plays all the monitored channels at the same time?
Lets just start with this. I have many more questions but as we go perhaps a light bulb will go on and I will be able to answer my own questions… that would be nice wouldn’t it!
Help, really Im absolutely stopped dead with this one.
Thanks,
Why is it that if I have EZP cabled directly to an external midi object, EZP will still play other midi instruments that it is NOT cabled to…
How is the midi getting from EZP to the other instruments if it is cabled DIRECTLY to the external midi instrument???

Hey guys at Toontrack.. can we get some help here?http://www.toontrack.com/forum/micons/m16.gif I know this must be a very basic question for you but us it’s impossible to figure out.
I still would like an idea of why in logic when I cable EZP to SD2 in the environment that somehow the midi ends up going to another instrument on another track. How does it do that????
I’m a little bit stunned by how complicated this is just trying to play along with a drum vst. If there is some written explanations that we’ve overlooked can you tell us where to find it?
Love the products and want to use EXP for all my midi drums, but my situations is even further complicated by the fact that I want to use SD2 and other vsti’s on my PC and trigger them from EXP on my mac.
Help!
Thanks for any consideration. (are we really the only ones here who don’t understand how to make this work in the environment? I find the environment in logic to be confusing and overly complicated… but I’m committed to figuring out what it’s all about because in the end I bet it will be worth it.http://www.toontrack.com/forum/micons/m6.gif
By the way can you upload snap shots to this forum and if so what format does it accept. I have a feeling that some pics from my environment will help everyone see what I’m talking about.
Thanks

Hi,
you should be able to attach GIF’s and JPEG’s to your post. Not if you Fast Reply, though.
Try this attached Logic file. I think Rogue made it a while ago to explain for another user.
Channel 10 to 16 are set up for use with EZplayer Pro.
Best Regards,
John

I’ll give it a go.
In the environment, have a look at the ‘clicks and ports’ layer. On the left hand side, check out the big block titled ‘physical’ connections. EZPlayer registers as a physical connection to avoid just the problem you’re having.
Is there a cable linking the EZP to the Sequencer Input? If there is, it means that when ever EZP is playing, its sending midi data to whatever track is selected on the arrange page (like piano). You should remove this cable and then, in the mixer layer, connect the output of the EZP strip to the input of the Drum instrument strip.
I can add some captures tomorrow if you need them.
