There are 2 items that I have not been able to figure out on the Mac.
1) Drum Maps – I need to be able to see the name of the drum instrument that I am selecting in the Midi Piano Roll view. Without this it is pretty difficult to use the Piano Roll.
2) When dragging a drum loop from EZD to Logic 8, the name is turned into a cryptic name “EP_P_G01_01H”. Is there a way to get a less cryptic name?

Hi – there are no drum maps in Logic but you should be able to get what you want from the Hyper Editor.
the ‘cryptic’ names are the only way to discriminate between over 8000 grooves as included in the core package, let alone over 40.000 currently available from us. The shorthand refer to the directory they originate from and down the tree from there. So in your example:
EZD_POP#ROCK > EP
POP#ROCK > P
GROOVE 01 > G01
01._Hats_4th_Hard_Closed > 01H
