Hi,

is it on launch of an empty project or is Logic loading the last saved project?
If the latter, does that project contain an SD3 instance with grooves on the Song Track with Future Hit instruments?

Hi, this happens on the launch of Logic Pro X. I just installed SD3 . SD3 works fine as a standalone.

Ashley I had exactly this issue when SD3 in Logic couldn’t see the sound files for SD3 on an external drive. Did you, as you said, literally just install SD3 and try to open in Logic – if so did you install all the sound files as well?

Please use “Go to Folder” in Finder’s “Go” menu and paste in this path: ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

In the folder that opens then, take a couple of the latest .crash files (starting with Logic or auvaltool), compress them and attach the zip file here, please.

I wonder if that was the correct log. It shows a crash on Sept 10 that did not involve SD3 but happened in Logic’s own code.

That does not look like before. Is it freezing now? If it crashes, I’d really like a crash log for that.

If it is freezing during the AU validation, it’s quite possible that you have a corrupt AU cache. In that case you should delete the cache and rescan all your plug-ins.

3.2.1 installed and validated without issue here
