Hi! I am also migrating to Linux. Is there a marketplace to sell the licenses of Toontrack products? I have seen a few forums where people do that. As of now it seems Ugritone and MT Power DrumKit 2 are available as native Linux options, so if I was not bound by the fact that I bought Superior Drummer and EZDrummer in the past, I can re-allocate resources for other software. MT Power is freeware though, but is still quite good.

    +1 for linux support!

i am slowly purging myself of MS and their BS and superior is the only thing I haven’t been able to incorporate. PLEASE bring linux users into the toontrack fold!

Im also migrating to Linux and would love Toontrack to support Linux. Have been a toontrack user ever since Drumkit from Hell days. Don’t know how platform dependent Toontrack products really are, since for example JUCE framework provides support for Linux for all the formats out of the box and I think I have spotted that at least the audio device/driver settings in Ezdrummer 3 at least uses Juce under the hood. But have no clue if the rest of the plugin uses Juce

Hello, I’m only still using Windows because of EZdrummer. Working with Windows is terrible and consumes endless resources. With every new version it gets worse! With a heavy heart, I will probably have to part ways with EZdrummer. Isn’t there anything you can do about this? I find it very unfortunate to give up EZdrummer, but Windows 11 is absolutely impossible!

I am not sure if it was a change to Linux Ubuntu Studio 24.4 /wine or EZDrummer3 and EZBass but both of them no longer work.  EZDrummer2 still works well so can i send my EZDrummer3 and EZBass files to you (TuneTrack) and you send me the midi exports of them?  I can get them into EZDrummer2 from the drum midi files.  I don’t know what to do with the bass midi yet.

I am going to miss the apps but makes no sense buying something that does not work on my machine anymore LOL

I am trying to wean myself off Microsoft/Meta/Google, and Windows is next on the list. I use Reaper and Toontrack for just about everything related to music production. Reaper already has a Linux version of their DAW. Waiting for Toontrack to follow.

I came across a guide on https://forum.zorin.com/t/music-audio-production-in-linux-how-to-integrate-your-windows-based-plugins-vst2-vst3-clap/38314 which, though I haven’t tried it myself yet, repeats many of my own findings from the last time I got EZDrummer running on Linux somewhat successfully:

    • Use DAW that has a Linux verison like Ardour, Reaper of Bitwig
    • Use pipewire for easier audio management
    • Use yabridge for being able to use Windows VST2/3 on Linux.
    • I’ve heard mixed stories about using Bottles with Wine, but this guide explains how to use it successfully to ensure you can consistently install updates, which was one of two big issues for me with the Toontruck product manager.

The only issue I had that it doesn’t address was drag & drop from EZDrummer UI in to a DAW, but from what I’ve heard that may be either X/Wayland specific or Wine version specific. The author of this guide apparently didn’t run into it, so maybe it’s solved itself.

The guide is specific to ZorinOS, but seeing as that’s based on Ubuntu and it mentions nothing I haven’t seen in Ubuntu, I think this is a pretty general set of instructions to get EZDrummer and other Windows audio packages (even iLok-based stuff, which is reportedly even less Linux-friendly)
