Lemon hi hat controller with Simmons Titan 70

The Simmons Titan 70 has a non-movable Hi Hat.  It’s controlled by a simple foot pedal.  Using the Lemon Hi Hat controller on the module, I am able to get open and closed sound but no “half open” or variance of sound between full open and full closed.  However, I am able to get the effect of hitting the cymbal pad with rapid closing the hi hat giving that “sits” sound, as if I were using a real hi hat (well almost).   What I want to know is if going through or using EZ Drummer 3 as a VST, can I get the computer act more like a true hi hat, truer sound and functionality like the effect one gets with the newer Roland VH-14 paired with the Roland V 51 module as an example?   Also, as the snare pads are dual zone, will EZ Drummer allow me to have side stick function?

Hi,

if I understand your question correctly, your HH Controller is perfectly capable of sending CC data for EZdrummer 3 to control the level of openness but your module isn’t triggering it?
AFAICT your module should be capable of sending continuous controller data for cc4 so either there is a setting in the module that needs to be changed or they simply aren’t compatible. EZD3 will react to what is sent to it from the module. I would switch LOCAL=OFF in the module and check the data out from it by recording the MIDI when you move the HH up/down to start with.
