Lemon HHC12 – Set Up

I’m attempting to hook up my new Lemon HHC12 to my Yamaha DTXmulti12, all as midi control to Superior Drummer 3 on my PC.
The HH pad is functional yet the HH control doesn’t seem to register at all.

I could use help troubleshooting and setting up my gear, thanks.

Hi,

a quick Google Search suggests that the Yamaha DTX multi 12 does not work with Roland HH controllers and on the Lemon website, I can read that the Lemon HHC will work with any Roland-compatible module, so that would be the first thing to check, that it actually works with the module.

If it indeed does work with the module, next step would be to make sure that the CC data actually reaches your computer via a MIDI monitor.

As the owner of a DTXM12 I can confirm that Roland hihat controllers will not work with it. The other kitpieces in the Yamaha will work with just about any controller but not the hats. Been there/tried that.

As an aside as a long time sufferer of Yamaha music stuff documentation I have to say it can be confusing.
