Legacy Of Rock: How to program Hi-hat/Ching Ring Legacy of Rock ala Moby Dick

Notice the kid is opening and closing the hi-hat without a hit from the drumstick.  There does not seem to be an articulation to just open and close the hi-hat/Ching ring.  I need that!  Anybody know how I would program this?  The foot pedal seems locked on the hi-hat in the visual kit but I can hit the hat and get a sound.

Pedal open and close articulations are available. You would program these in the groove editor or in your DAW.

As stated above: you would program the articulations in the groove editor.

further instructions on how to use the groove editor can be found in the SD3 reference manual.

Thanks for pretty much a useless response.  If you are trying to help someone and offer up read the manual, that really does not help.

If reading the manual was all it took to be a Superior Drummer expert, then by the weekend I will be John Bonham.  I will figure it out on my own….

please check the Grid Editor for Pedal Closed and Pedal Open articulation rows, like in the attached screen shot.
