i am not doing this correctly. i fist added a chord and set it to the main key of my song, then I copy pasted it and changed the key when the song key changes.
i though I would be able to then apply browser midi to any part and it would be applied in the key of my pasted blocks but it looks like it only uses the key set in the transport?? is what i am trying to do possible?
The Use Browser MIDI works just like you described it – it keeps the chords from the Song Track and applies the play style from the browser.
I’m not sure I understood what you where looking for – a way to keep the key of certain MIDI blocks when pasting new MIDI onto those?

ok so like in attachments a and b
why when i apply the browser midi it is shorter that the actual browser midi and I cant pull out right edge to make it as long.
notice in b i have the applied midi and the dragged down midi. the dragged down midi is longer.

……….
also, why cant i disengage the EZkeys “Key” feature and just set the key changes in the timeline. e.g. if i have the key in Dm and the song chages to another key EZkeys cant change keys so becomes useless….better to be able to turn off Key feature as needed

The MIDI from the browser adjusts its length to match the length of the MIDI on the track. If you want 4 bars of MIDI to be placed on the track with “Use Browser MIDI” you have to have 4 bars of MIDI on the track to start with. If the block you are working on is to short you can add more blocks with the “Add Block” button on the left of “Use Browser MIDI”.
You have more options if you right click a MIDI block in the browser and choose Copy. If you right click on one (or multiple selected MIDI blocks), you can choose to paste the entire copied block, or just the chords – or the MIDI (the play style).

If you double click a block – there’s a transpose menu that lets you transpose the entire block to a wanted key. Will that solve your problem?

OK got it…but
1. why if i select say 6 blocks and Paste MIDI some join and some don’t?
2. if for example in EZKEYS the key is verse key is Dm and the chorus key is Gm. I create a bunch of blocks > Paste Block > and I see the chords are based on Dm. So now in the chorus I want the same type of chord changes but in Gm > I chage EZKeys to Gm and it works. But how do i freeze just that block? becuz as soon as I chage Key back to Dm that block also changes. I need to preserve the key changes of that block in Gm while song is in Dm
