Hello, Toontrack,
I bought the new Latin Cuban extension. Very nice open and dynamic, the Hi Hat sounds also very good in all opening levels (I use Roland TD 12 and VH 11), also the snare and toms respond very well. Thanks for the great expansion!
I also have Custom Shop EZX, which sounds similarly good, only with the toms you have to hit pretty hard to “rock the sound high” (crescendo) with the same settings.
I claim that the Hi Hat sounds better on both EZX’s than on Superior Drummer 3 Library.
Best regards
Roland
That all depends if you are comparing the EZX to an unprocessed hi-hat. Big difference.

Hello Bear- Faced Cow,
I wasn’t interested in the sound itself, it was more about the great fluid transitions, especially the hi-hat, like the SDX Allaire, where the hi-hat transitions, from closed to open, are very fluid. It varies from expansion to expansion. I have almost all the SDXs and the hi-hat’s respond very differently. The drumming process is different from the naked drums without compressor reverb and EQ, of course. I was mainly interested in the nice smooth transitions in the hi-hat.
Greetings
Roland
I would imagine they would vary between SDXs due to the both genre and how they were recorded (and even played for that matter). SD3 core library is more of a “one size fits all” and may need tweaking to suit your tastes.
