I just moved my EZD to my Mac, was on an old lap top before.
It’s authorized, it opens but the kit only loads 1mb, enough that there was only 1 loop available and I was able to drag it into Logic and it worked.
Why is the kit not loading? I have gone through all the tutorials I could find, I’m worried because I bought EZ Kit from Hell and the Midi pack to have lots of loops and now I hope this money was not wasted.
Better if I could drap the drum kits and loops directly into Logic that would be even easier. I tried to drap the midi expansion pack folder that way but it did not work either.
WHy all the glitches when you are using the auto-install function?
Any guidance is appreciated.
THanks,
M

Have you downloaded the full product installer from your Toontrack account and installed from that or from the DVD? I recommend installing from the download from your account. Also, I’d recommend downloading any EZX full product installers from your Toontrack account and installing from those as well. Each product has a red ‘PC’ or ‘Mac’ button at the top. Click the ‘Mac’ in your case to download.

My installs are complete and authorizations are good.
The kit is frozen at 1 mb.
I may install and re-install unless you have something else for me to rule out before that.

The reason that I suggest running the product installer from your Toontrack account is because it sounds like you have only installed the ‘update’ and not installed the full product. Just installing the update without installing the full product will give you the problem you are having.

I think what you’re saying is right, I’m still having the same problem. Now there’s a window that says Select a file to upload, choose file???

Ok, so I’ve uninstalled it, and re-installed it and now it won’t even open…do I need to re-authorize after reinstalling it?

I uninstalled everything again, deleted all files and starting over. Removed current authorizations, I still see the upgrade as downloaded, I hope that this is not what’s blocking the previous version from uploading.

This product is ridiculous to install. Seriously, at this point, I would tell anyone not to buy this crap. What you see on the web site and download and ready to play is BS.
I will continue to try for the rest of they day and I will consider the $89 and $29 the midipakc completely wasted.
I feel like I have been ripped off.

Reinstall EZ drummer or move the sound files is the last box popping up now.
Any one with any ideas…

I’ve done this three times…please help me

Let me see, you are on Mac. Unless you have moved the sounds they should
be installed to (something like) /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer/Sounds.
That directory should hold subdirectories containing several hundred MBs
of sounds in total. Does that seem to be the case for you?

I can find the sound file you are referring to using the spotlight function. I have copied it to the desktop.

Hi,
if you have manually moved the ‘Sounds’ folder Olof W is referring to, you need to put it back where it belongs, i.e. ‘Macinstosh HD/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer’.
If you still have a non-functional installation, I suggest you file a Support Ticket through the Support Portal.
Installing EZdrummer on your Mac should really be a very simple ‘click and follow instructions’ procedure, provided you first install the Full Product Download and then apply the 1.3.1 update.

John
