Im having the same issue using edrumin in Reaper and standalone. I updated Reaper the eDrumin firmware, and UA Volt drivers. After playing on the kit for a minute or so it just goes silent but usually it’ll start making a crackling staticky sound first. Or if I am playing in sd3 standalone it will eventually start crackling and stop working. In Reaper I’m usually playing stem tracks that I play along to on my kit and the song continues to play even after the drums cut . So I think it has something more to do with one of my edrumin boxes as I have three of them. Tomorrow I think I’m going to connect the boxes one at a time and see if the issue persists on one or all of the boxes. I figured maybe the issue is with my powered USB hub. I don’t have a choice but to use a hub because I’m using a Mini PC which doesn’t have enough USB ports for all of my boxes to connect directly. libraries are all running from the internal 2 GB SSD. It was working fine for the longest time and then just in the past few days or so it has gotten progressively worse and now it’s to the point where I can barely play. It’s pretty infuriating.

Yep, that’s it. That staticky sound right before it goes down. Yep, you’re describing my Issue exactly. And We’re using totally different hardware and equipment yet we’re having the same problem. It’s almost like the issue is with the plug-in and not the hardware it that it can’t handle it even if the buffer IS set optimally. The plug-in just can’t handle the power of the computer. But of course I don’t have any evidence to substantiate that claim. I hope we’ll get some answers real soon

Would be good if you could zip up the crash dump file and post it here.

Also these are different in that one is Mac and the other PC. On the Mac if you use the onboard audio do you get the same? I think this really does matter as I’m using a PC and I’m not seeing this at all. Win 11 current version RME Babyface pro fs. All latest versions including sd3. Sd3 library on M.2 drive on motherboard. All windows tweaks for audio. Also using onboard video ( inbuilt wi fi, Bluetooth and audio disabled in bios)

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

To be honest, until today, I didn’t even know what a crash dump was much less know how to zip. I’m not tech savvy at all obviously. but I’m learning. Once I figure it out, I will provide it here

I haven’t tried that yet. I’m going to test it today to see if I will experience the same issues through the onboard audio. I’ll report back soon.

Okay I wanted to wait a few days before I gave an update but I think I solved my problem regarding the “crashes”. Now so far it’s been working well for me. I hope it’ll work for you and anyone else. First I started with the computer and I backed up every audio file and project file onto an external hard drive and deleted everything from the computer. So I only have the main superior drummer 3  plug-in installed and the rest of the sound libraries are all on an external hard drive. The next thing is the audio interface and downloaded the newest update and set the sample rate to no more than 48. Next I went into superior drummer 3 and went up in the buffer size from 64 to 128. And finally in the drum modules,  I set the scan time accordingly and not have  it any more then3 ms. It’s been a few days since I implemented these changes and I’ve had no problems with drop outs, crackling, or anything.
