Hi there,
I am wanting to replicate Keith Moon’s style of drumming.
I’m not talking about the EZX sound expansions or the midi packs.
I have the 70’s rock and others etc.
It’s more about his style of drumming and how to replicate it in EZ drummer 3.
Thanks
Pete
Keith Moon was one of those drummers who made it up as he went along. His playing varied from song to song. The best I can tell you is to study him through various songs and any videos you can find.
if you’re not using any edrums, the grid editor will be your best friend, and sometimes your greatest adversary when it comes to drummers like Keith Moon.

Along with Jord’s valuable advice, I would add Moon would put fills in places that most drummers of that era wouldn’t. So like in the middle of a bar he might put a fill that may go through to the next bar. His style was unconventional to say the least. My first drum instructor hated Moon 🤣. But then he disliked Ginger Baker as well.
Drumeo has a pretty decent video called “The Genius of Keith Moon” where some of his “style” eccentricities are broken down. Could provide some insight if you’re trying to program his way of drumming.
