I tried the following in Logic:

    • (Using the Default Drums and Mixer preset) I set the Snare Top and Snare Bottom mixer channels to Output 31/32.
    • Changed preset, which kept the snare to Output 31/32.
    • Saved as a User Preset “Test Multi”
    • Started a new project in Logic and loaded SD3
    • Loaded the “Test Multi” preset
    • Enabled Keep Output Routing on Preset Change
    • Changed preset, which kept the snare to 31/32

Is this scenario similar to how you did it?

yes exactly. except in reaper, when you reload the preset and click “keep output routing” it doesn’t work when you change the preset, everything resets. After some further testing it seems like if just re-do one of the routings (i.e. set kick to 5/6 even though it is already set to 5/6) then everything seems to work. Def a bug.

Just to make sure – are you using the latest version of SD3 – v 3.1.2?

I’ll ask a coder to check this in Reaper! Thanks for the report.

If you see my third point in the list, I wrote “Saved as a User Preset”. In my scenario, I saved a User Preset in the Drums & Mixer preset menu (on the top right side of SD3). Did you save this kind of preset, or did you save a Project (from the File menu)?

We tried this in Reaper, and when we save and load a (Drums & Mixer) User Preset it works as intended. However, if we save and load a Project, the bug appears as you described.

    Hello,

I’ve  just run into this problem too and was wondering if it was a bug.  I am in ProTools and I have a project in superior drummer set up with its mixer outputs routed into individual channels in ProTools, works fine.  But even with the “keep output routing on preset change” selected from the drum and mixer presets list, as soon as I select a different drum kit, the SD3 mixer channels outputs change.  Then I have to manually change each one to get it to output correctly into ProTools.  This is a huge pain and doesn’t allow for quickly auditioning different kits and recording them quickly into independent channels in ProTools.  This is the first thread I’ve seen on this, any updates?

    Thanks,

    Dave
