I just purchased EZ Mix and would like some suggestions on what packs to pick up.
I write Prog Rock in the style of Pink Floyd, Yes, ELP and Rush. I play mostly
guitar, bass and keyboards as well as do vocals. I listened to the demos but honestly
didn’t get much out of them. I’ll try YouTube next.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Before you start collecting you should be aware of the fact that Toontrack demands a 15 dollars license transfer fee when you resell a pack that you are not satisfied with.
License transfer fees countervalue is $ 2,250.00
(done...)
So my anger about the Toontrack license transfer fee introduced in June 2021 is not entirely unfounded...

Thanks Joe I wasn’t aware of that. What do you mean by “License transfer fees countervalue is $ 2,250.00” ?
If I’d sell all my Toontrack licenses then I would have to pay more that 2000 dollars to Toontrack.
Even if I’d sell them to only one person. Toontrack demands 15 dollars license transfer fee for every instrument, expansion, pack and MIDI pack.
This is new since mid of this year. 150 licenses… simple math 😉 and therefore I do not spend any more money on Toontrack products 😉

As I read here someone suggested that they give a trial/demo for a day or so so as to decide if that particular EZMix pack works for your situation.
It’s very hard to tell by the short audio demos on their website, since most are not actually very well done. That’s why I asked for opinions, since there is no way to really tell which are worth the money and which are not.
