Hi everybody,
today while running Ezdrummer for the first time, I noticed an issue.
I own a Roland Td-9kx e-drum and use it as a midi-controller with Logic Pro 9 on my Macbook Pro, so today I’ve tried to connect it with Ezdrummer to playalong.
Kick, Snare, Toms…they all worked perfectly, they were soon recognized by Ezdrummer and sounded very good… but I’ve noticed that the hi-hat opening function was not working correctly on Ezdrummer.
The Ezdrummer (pop/rock) hi-hat didn’t reproduce the intermediate sounds of my Roland hi-hat CY-5. It reproduced only full-open and full-closed sounds, but not the intermediate ones.
I think that the problem concerns the hi-hat pedal and its connection with Ezdrummer…
How can I fix this issue?
Thank you for your attention.

Hi,
EZdrummer is not supported for E-drum use with any other host than Toontrack solo, which provides necessary E-drum hihat function not available otherwise.
I can’t find you in the database, so I can’t tell what version you are using and if you have downloaded Toontrack solo or not.
Best Regards,
John

Hi,
came across this threat as I have the same issue. When I connect my Roland TD9x to EZ drummer in Logic Pro, it does not reflect my hi hat pedal. All hi hit hits sound as if i played them open. I do see little black bars appear in the drum track where I close the pedal, but this does not seem to affect the sound. Anybody an idea?
thanks! Paul
It’s very EZy: Just make sure you have the variable articulations and controller data mapped correctly. EZDr2 mapping is fixed so get to your module mapping or remap within a DAW …or for newbies: just use an e-drum preset in EZDr2 and make sure your module is set to default (factory reset).
Thanks! The hi hat pedal never worked when activating ez drummer in Logic. Also when I played the factory default set… Is there a setting somewhere I am missing?
I use the Metal! kit.
I can look into your issue if you don’t get it sorted out… Are you also on V-Drums forum?
Would be much appreciated if you could help out. I am not on the v-drums forum, only this one and Logic Pro help.
