So I recently decided to buy a few packs for superior drummer 3 and now I get an error in my DAW that my installed resources and plugins are not the same version. it tells me to uninstall superior. Is there another way? I have slow internet so it will take forever to download the 100 or so Gigs of data.
I had the same problem and what I found was >I re-installed the 3.1.7, but issue/problem was still there, so I checked my DLL in the vst pugin folder and the DLL was a different version than the 3.1.7 install, so I replaced the DLL in the vst plugin folder with the new 3.1.7 DLL ( Problem Solved and it works great ).
I have seen posts concerning this problem several time I had it when going from 3.14 to 3.15 and posted about it at that time. Here is the thread.
Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.
Which DAW are you using? What I recommend is to add the folder where the DLL file is installed by the SD3 installer, to the list of folders your DAW looks for plug-ins instead of moving the DLL to where the DAW is looking by default. If you manually move the DLL, you will run into the same problem with the next update.
