So I often grab one of the grooves, edit it as needed, and then copy and paste it to the other chord blocks. Unfortunately, EZBass forgets all the articulations. The first couple of measures are right, and then the rest are all just regular picks or plucks. Saving the groove as a user groove, and applying it to the blocks has the same issue. This is really a pain, and a serious workflow killer.
Hi Brian,
would it be possible for you to ZIP an EZbass Project where this is happening and attach to a post here? I.e. where you have edited the first grooves/bars and where copying what’s been edited fails to paste correctly?

Here’s a project. It happens anytime you copy and paste, at least for me. You can see a screengrab of what’s happening here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tbmeuefi7oe4g33/EZBass%20Error.gif?dl=0
OK,
without loading your Project, I can see that:
you are copying notes from a cut 2 Bars pattern part that is set to Am and instead of regular “Paste at Playhead” -which would paste the 2 Bars pattern at you Playhead but in the key of C major- you use ‘Paste on Selected MIDI Block(s)”, which pastes the copied pattern over the entire selected Block.
I.e. no issue or strange, it is how it works. If you use the regular Paste or cut the destination part to match the length of the copied pattern, the pasted pattern length will also match.

So if I create a 2 bar pattern I have to copy and paste it every 2 bars? Why does it paste the notes properly onto a larger block, but not the articulations? What a workflow killer.
No, that’s not what I meant.
Anyways, if I copy shorter patterns and paste them on larger MIDI Blocks, they do indeed get pasted with the articulations correct.

Then what did you mean? And if your short patterns copy to larger blocks with articulations intact, then why don’t mine? Not trying to be argumentative, but I’m not really getting an answer here that I can see.
Oh, I see now that a sentence fell away when I edited my post. I just meant that you’re right in assuming how it should work and not as it apparently is (not) working for you.
When I use the very same Grooves as you have in your saved Project and perform the very same operation, I get the expected result – correctly pasted articulations – but when I listen to your Project I can clearly hear (and see) that is hasn’t worked for you.
I do not have an answer to why unless you aren’t actually using version 1.1.6. Which version number is reported in the interface (lower left corner)?

That project was saved by version 1.1.5. I can reproduce the issue with 1.1.5 but not with 1.1.6 so it must have been fixed.
