Is there really no sequencing native in EZDrummer?

    Hi,

you can record directly to the EZdrummer 2 Song Track and you can add hits for an instrument in the Edit Play Style window but I guess what you are really after is some kind of grid editor and that is not available in EZdrummer 2.

Superior Drummer 3 has got a Grid Editor (among all other things) but I suspect you’re after something more step-sequencer centric for electronic sounds?

I recommend checking out some videos of the Grid Editor in SD3 but I can’t recommend any other software.

Thank you for the quick reply! I kinda got that vibe that this would be the norm with purchased drum software from all the youtube tutorials I watched. I’m into metal so I’ve been chasing the best sounding drum machines to keep up with the elitist ears. I think grid editor is the terminology I’m looking for. This might seem like a dumb question, but would it be possible to export the midi files from Hydrogen and import them into EZ Drummer?

From what I can understand of the online documentation for Hydrogen, it can be GM compliant and if it is, then your Hydrogen generated MIDI will play back (at least somewhat) correctly with EZdrummer 2.
