Is there a way to only install the MIDI of an EZX ?

Hi,

…sorry, posted this before but maybe in the wrong forum (pre-sale)…
is there a way to only install the MIDI of an EZX ?
My scenario is that I often travel with my laptop and it has limited HDD space
so installing all the EZX (including sounds) isn’t an option.
I would love to have the MIDI data available for composing “on the road” and then
fine tuning the result later on in my home studio.
I have second activations left on the EZX and don’t have a problem losing these to the
partial (MIDI) installation if it is/would be possible…

I believe the EZX installers install both sounds and MIDI via the same installer. There is no way to just run the MIDI installer part.

That’s how it looks to me too.
Is there maybe a way to uninstall the sounds w/o uninstalling the MIDI …. or can I go to the sound folders and just delete the sound files (wav ?) w/o risking to make the whole system unstable ???

Probably. But it wouldn’t be a Toontrack supported procedure. Meaning, if you brick it, you’d be on your own. Most likely you would just need to uninstall and reinstall everything.
