I’m doing a funky octave type bass line… I have a low B, and I’d like to hear what the octave sounds like on the second fret of the A. However, when I draw the notes the octave B is played on the 7th fret of the E.
Is there a way to choose where you fret the note?
I have this same question. In other guitar-based Virtual Instruments it’s a setting called “Hand Position”. This is selectable and changeable in real time or via automation with CC messages allowing you to choose where on the neck the hand is placed. You can also set the “size” the the hand to cover as many or as few frets you wish to be used. Is there an equivalent for EZBass?
Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.
No, there is no position option nor a way to select a specific string in EZbass. There should be no sound difference between where the notes are played (fretted or open). Well, on a real bass there may be but not on the EZbass virtual instrument.
