Hey there,
I was wondering if anyone from Toontrack (or anyone who uses EZdrummer) knows of any really good drumpad products out there that work really well
with EZDrummer? Do they exist? and if so, is EZdrummer set up to be able to hook up to one? What i’m wanting to do is basically have say 7 to 10 pads
which could be hooked up in conjunction with the drums/cymbals on any kit in EZdrummer so that i can play with my fingers like it’s a full on drumset. Also,
i would hope the buttons would be nice size and have good trigger action. If anyone has any good recommendations for one (I want a really good one so don’t
worry about price range when suggesting pls drop a line, thanks……

I don’t know what DAW you use but I am using Push and Ableton and having a blast with EZ2! If it is set up correctly you can drop your edited EZ clips right into a clip slot and then vey easily if desired, add to what you already have created in EZ2, (which is killer in itself.) If you Group EZ to a Drum Rack and select “ALL” you now have 16 lit pads assigned and ready to go. Push and EZ2 or SPD2 work very well together. Of course there are other options..

Hi lyovino
You having any trouble with EZ Drummer 2 choking notes due to the Aftertouch? I cant manage to make Push behave…
Any tips would be greatly appreciated..
Awaiting moderation? I have no clue what this means or refers to, can you explain?

Yeah, this is kinda weird. i left a message reply on this thread yesterday too and it doesn’t even show up! this forum is messed up. And why is ”awaiting moderation” put on that one guy’s post?? ridic.

How well would an MPC’s pads trigger with ezdrummer? Anyone try one before?

I used to use a Korg PadKontrol. The gummie pads weren’t responsive enough for me. I got a Zendrum Zap.

Wow never heard of those Zendrums, but they look great. About as a pricy as an MPC though. Basically, i’m looking for whichever one would have the most responsive pads.

To be honest I haven’t noticed or had any issues at all with aftertouch.. are you saying that the notes are getting cut-off? On Push’s User screen I have my Pad Threshold set at “9” and the Velocity Curve to “3”. You may want to check this because if the Threshold is set to high on the plus (+) side it will shorten the hit of your notes. This goes for the Curve also. There is a sweet spot for the Curve and Threshold..
