Hi!! PLEASE HELP IF POSSIBLE!!
I’d like to have each drum on a separate track (i.e, kick, snare,hi-hat)in my sessions. Just like a traditional drum recording. What’s the easiest/best way to do this? Also, when I bought this software, I was told that it would be easy to access the audio files. Is that true and if so, how?
This YouTube describes splitting EZD2 into separate channels within ProTools. He wants to print the output to audio tracks, so he’s creating audio tracks in PT. If you want to have EZD2 playing midi, but not print the audio, then create aux tracks in PT instead of audio tracks.

My advice is to simply assign the outputs of the EZD mixer to individual aux tracks in Pro Tools. A one-to-one setup isn’t always necessary since everything shown on the mixer may not appear in your song. (There may be 17 tracks shown on the mixer but you may only be using 14, etc.)
This method has worked out great for me and affords complete control.
