I just bought EZdrummer 3 which I’m driving with my new Roland TD-17KVX2. Really loving the base product and having a lot of fun playing with it.
I want to build a kit for a funk song, but a key part of the intro is a swing pattern played on a ride cymbal with brushes.
My early learning is leading me to understand that in order to get that sound, I need to spend $100 NZD for the Jazz EZX kit, and then pull the ride/brush sound into the kit I’m building.
It looks like there’s no way for me to listen to the ride/brush sound, so if I don’t like it, am I just out a hundred bucks?
Is what I’m proposing possible? If I buy the EZX, can I mix/match any of the sounds from it with any other kit?
Is there some other way to achieve this with the base product?
Thanks very much!

Cheers Mick Avoidant . I actually listened to this but didn’t realize there were multiple tracks under the hamburger menu.
Sounds fantastic, thanks so much for pointing this out!
