I have a drum groove I use often in songs, but it isn’t available in any of the drum libraries. So I find myself editing versions of it from scratch every time I want to use it. This seems like unnecessary work, and I don’t want to open an old song project just to copy and paste a MIDI file.
Is it possible to edit a groove in SD3 and then save it as a user MIDI groove that’s available in the library list for convenient future use?
Yes you can. In your Grooves tab, you will see a folder called User MIDI. Select that folder and drag your modified groove into the area. You can also create a hierarchy of subfolders within to save your modified grooves to. I use a similar standard as the MIDI packs (Intro, Verse, Chorus, etc.).

Thanked by: Mikael BromanYou can use the Groove Tab in SD3 just to make your own drum-notes and then save it into SD3-Library. So you can use this after that always in Logic Pro as a template. Maybe this can help you?
