It would be great if you purchased SD3 to also have access to EZ Drummer by default.

I believe Band Mate is available in SD3.

    SD3 and many SDX Packs.

Tap2Find and Edit Play Style are already in Superior Drummer 3. Bandmate isn’t, but the reason it may seem familiar is because EZbass has essentially the same feature.

Seeing that Superior Drummer is the flagship product… when can we expect to see Bandmate as part of SD3?

Based on a few things (kind of reading between the lines). I think that they realize that SD3 was kinda “left behind” on this one. I do think we will see a pretty decent update over the next few months.

My thoughts on this are that the programming teams probably work on many new features for both EZDrummer and Superior Drummer simultaneously. Probably as planned, or not, the EZD features were done first and I would guess that there are many more features being worked on for SD than there were for EZD, therefore, taking longer to finish SD than it did EZD. I expect to be blown away by SD4 with all the new features of EZD3 and many new cool features that are not in EZD3.

ToonTrack did not disappoint with EZD3 and I really doubt that they will disappoint with SD4.

Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.

Remember that sd2 was around for a lot of years before we got sd3. Ezdrummer 2 has been around quite a while as well. They tend to get things working well over quite a period of time so there are still sd3 bugs to iron out yet. SD3 is not that old so I would be surprised if we saw a new version anytime soon. Happy to be proved wrong though.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

I think it may be a little while before we hear much. My current guess is in the next month as the shortest and a number of months at the longest. Just my perception. SD3 matters :).

I’d love to see the new features from EZ 3 in Superior Drummer as well. They seem incredibly useful for song writing, like more detailed demos and even full productions with Superior Drummer. I’m hoping for an update, but even SD4 with new goodies would be fine by me.

I wouldn’t want to rush Bandmate into SD in its current state. It is rather limited in how it selects a groove from your library, almost to the point of mundane, and I have managed to easily fool it.

What SD3 could use at this time are the enhanced Tap-2-Find and Edit Play Styles functionality and algorithms.

Just piling on here. Bandmate seems like the feature I’ve been waiting for.. in Superior Drummer, that is. Would like to hear something (anything) from the Toontrack team.

    Hi,
as always, you wouldn’t hear about anything being developed or not here on the Forum, unless it has been officially communicated via the main site or newsletter.
