Installing Superior Drummer on External Drive

I have a very fast lightning-connected external hard drive on my Mac Studio. Is it possible to install the extensive sample libraries for Superior Drummer on that drive rather than the main HD?

Possible? YES!! in fact, preferred.

from the SD3 manual:
The Sound Library can be installed to an external hard drive by customizing the installer.
This is done by clicking the Browse button in the Library Part 1 installer.
