Installing subsets of SDX packages (or pruning)

    Hello: when you are about to install the pack you are asked to choose what kind of installation you want.

    For searching in the forum you can use the search option above, next to the cart. It will find forum posts too.

    You don’t need the surround files but you might want to install the bleed files though.

    It is recommended to use the installers to install the libraries. Sone SDXs allow you to install subsets of the libraries. As mentioned above, installing surround and bleed is not required as far as the core library goes.

    Yes, it’s probably best to get our money’s worth and install the bleed mikes too.  I went ahead and bought a new 2 terabyte SSD to replace the auxiliary 1 Tb drive I had.

    If you’re going to use them. Not everyone does and that’s okay. But yeah, I have all of my Superior Drummer libraries on a 4TB SSD.

    Be sure to set the drive type in your Library/Path settings to SSD, in case you haven’t.
