Greetings,
I am successfully using EZDrummer on a Mac. I picked up the Jazz and Latin Percussion Expansion Packs a few days ago.
Could somebody please point me to clear instructions for installation?
I have all the discs, including the expansions, that came with my EZDrummer initial purchase. I bought Jazz + Latin at a local Guitar Center and they gave me License Numbers for both products (i.e. but no discs or instruction manuals).
If some kind forum member might be able to help, I would be extremely grateful as I have found it very difficult to reach Toontrack tech support. Installing expansion packs can’t be brain surgery, but I have not found clear instructions.
Thanks very much in advance.
I’ve made some progress since my original post. I have entered the serial number, registered, and downloaded both the Jazz and Latin Expansion Packs.
When I open Toontrack Solo to test things out, I see the full Midi/Groove libraries for both expansion packs. But, now I’m not sure how to access the new kits/sounds.
As this may not be the right forum to post in, I’m going to post this question in the Support Portal as well.
Thanks.
Hi,
please click the EZX library display at the top the interface to reveal the drop-down list of installed expansions. Then you just click one of them to change sounds.

John,
Thanks very much for your reply. When I click on the EZX library display, all I get is the blue font option of the pop/rock kit. Nothing else drops down.

You say you downloaded them, but have you installed them?

Hi Scott,
Yes, I believe I did install them. When I open either Toontrack Solo or EZDrummer, I can see the new Midi libraries for both Jazz and Latin Percussion. But the new kits are not available. I’m sure I must be missing something simple.

Which version number is displayed in the EZdrummer plugin interface?

The latest version of EZD is 1.2.0.
I’m not familiar with Macs but it would be wise to update to version 1.2.0 as I think that 1.2.0 is required for OS 10.6

Log into your Toontrack account.
Navigate to your EZdrummer product under ‘My Products’
Navigate to and download the ‘EZdrummer_MAC_120.dmg’ under ‘Software Updates’
Once downloaded, run the installer

Scott,
Thanks for all the help. I was still not able to get the new kits to show up so I contacted Obedia. Things were not installing smoothly for the tech either, but he was able to get everything working properly.
BTW, I really love the sounds in Jazz and Latin. The jazz kits are particularly sweet. Very nicely done.
