Installing downloaded v 1.2.1 error

    Sorry,can’t reproduce this on my Win 7 setup.
    Do you have any AntiVirus, Firewall, etc. that may be interfering?

    Hi John…  I already attempted an install after disabling all of my security software to no avail.   I may just backup my files, do a factory reset, and begin from scratch…  thanks for the response.

    Have you tried with a download manager, to ensure that the actual downloaded file is not the problem?

    Hey Martin… I just tried it with Orbit Downloader and got the same error message… I think it may be time to factory reset.   Thanks!  Andy

    I have to ask… are you using a Netgear router?

    I don’t think the issue would be with the download, although I could be wrong. This looks like a MSI issue with the pre-requisite that the updater tries to install. There are some malwares known to interfere with this so it could well be bad news for you.

    Anyway, please try to install the following:

    – if you are using the 32 bit version of EZdrummer:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?familyId=a5c84275-3b97-4ab7-a40d-3802b2af5fc2&displayLang=en

    – if you are using the 64 bit version of EZdrummer:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?familyId=ba9257ca-337f-4b40-8c14-157cfdffee4e&displayLang=en

    … either that will work and (at least that’s my expectation) the update will thereafter be successful or you will get the same problem with this package and you should start looking at what is making your system so ‘sick’.

    Let us know either way.

    Hey fellas… Brad, I am actually using a Link-Sys Wireless G.  In other news, I did a factory restore of my laptop, and everything downloaded.   Now the goal is to get EZdrummer to show up in Cubase Studio 5, and I’m sure I can find that info in these forums.  Thanks a ton for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

    If you’re using the 64-bit version of Cubase, make sure you download the latest EZdrummer update with the 64-bit version of EZD. Then, make sure that Cubase is looking for the plugin in the correct location. Open the Device menu and there is a ‘Plugin Information’ item. This shows what plugins C5 is seeing. Click on ‘VST 2.x Plug-in Paths’ button and make sure that the directory that the 64-bit EZD plugin .dll is located in is set correctly.
