Hi,
I’ve only recently found out about the possibility to use alternative paths for SD3’s library and expansions. I use the full versions of my sdxs which I installed on an external drive, but I’d love to have a reduced version of one or two of them on my internal ssd for editing drum parts when I don’t have my external drive with me. But how do I install a SDX a second time if it’s already registered as installed in the product manager?
You can install the sdx’s to multiple places. You just have to change the path to the library in SD3.

Superior Drummer 3.4.1
Area 33 1.0.0
Death and Darkness 1.0.1
PT 2021.6
OSX 10.13.6
3.46 GHz hex core 2012 MacPro 48 gig ram
You can add a second path to your reduced libraries in your settings. Superior Drummer is smart enough to select the larger library it is sees it.

Thanked by: drumjack52Thanks for your quick replies and sorry, if my question was a bit unclear: I know how to point SD to the second directory and I already found out how to download the sdx installers a second time using the product manager. I just can’t find a way to run them, because the SDXs show up as already installed! I feel like I’m missing something really obvious here… Any hints?
I ran the installer from the drop-down menu from the SDX’s detail section in the Product Manager without any issues. Was also able to select a new path to install the library.
