Yesterday I purchased an Akai LPD8 controller and added a bunch of drum tracks with EZDrummer to my songs. I then purchased the Nashville pack and today went in to add more tracks. Problem is now the Midi input is going crazy. I can go about 30 seconds into a song and try adding a fill and the notes stop completely then they randomly come in, but there are no notes or I can’t hear any drums when I keep using the LPD8. Other times I only go into 2 measures and it starts again with this.
I uninstalled Nashville and it still is happening. Like I said it worked great before I installed Nashville. Playback with Nashville seems fine. Play back on the Akai LPD8 is great when not recording. But my input capabilities are completely gone. Any help? It worked great before, now it is impossible. Also this is on a brand new Mac with a clean EZDrummer install. Thanks.
I’m not familiar with your Akai device but I can certainly tell you it has nothing to do with Nashville. At best it would be EZdrummer or solo, if that is the host you are using (I guess not since you mention recording).
To me it sounds like an issue with the MIDI buffering, which ultimately would point to an issue with the host or MIDI driver. You do not say what host application you are using and on what specific macintosh so it is difficult to give a more constructive answer.
