I added EZDrummer just fine to another, less powerful computer, but I cannot get the program to work on my other computer. I’ve downloaded and installed but the program doesn’t show up on the start menu or as a VST instrument in Cubase.
I downloaded the program from the site and installed once with the default location and again in Cubase’s VST Plugins folder.
Any help out there? There seem to be other folks having issues with installation but they’re all using other DAWs and I don’t want to follow their instructions since they might be different for Cubase.
The program is not registered since you have to get the computer ID when you open the program the first time but I can’t open the program. The only icons I can find are for installing the program…

Are you using a 64-bit host and/or OS? Have you installed the 32-bit or 64-bit version of EZdrummer? Have you set the path in Cubase to where you installed EZdrummer?

Thanks for the reply. I have 64-bit Windows 7, 32-bit Cubase, and I have no idea what version of EZDrummer; I don’t think it gave me a choice when I downloaded from toontrack…
I don’t know how to set a path in Cubase. I didn’t have to do so on my other computer, I just installed the program and it all worked nicely…

The EZdrummer version number is displayed in the EZdrummer interface in the lower right corner. The latest version is 1.3.1 and can be downloaded from your Toontrack account.
Setting the path to plugins (EZdrummer et al) in Cubase is from Devices Menu->Plugin Information.

Got it! Thanks so much for your help. That was easier than I thought it’d be but you saved me hours of frustration and foul language.

ps sorry if hijacking this thread is frowned upon
xxSWANxx,
it sounds to me as if you only installed the EZdrummer update and not the full product.
Make sure you click the BIG RED MAC or PC button to download the Full Product Download Installer and when that’s installed, please run the 1.3.1 updater.
Best Regards,

i’m really not good with computers but i’ve tried downloading that (big red button) and i get install failed it says to ” run postflight script for ezdrummer content” no idea what that means.. at the top of my screen in my tool bar is says ask for confirmation and looks like a little red stop sign beside it.. EDIT: got it to go through
ive been here
and tried to follow it but i can’t figure out the disk permission thing. EDIT: did this
i’ve tried to do # 2 but it just says the same install failed EDIT: got it to work
#3 did this and it seemed to work..
i have downloaded the 1.3.1 thing at least when i go to my toontrack account it says i did .. EDIT : along with the cocktail and solo..
like i said i’m not very good with computers so help would be very appreciated
EDIT: so this is where i am at with it.. ive somehow managed to get all the sounds working for the cocktail kit ( has 72 mb )but not the rock kit ( has 1 mb) not sure what i’m doing wrong..
going to try #2 on this page
ok i’ve tried this and didn’t work still have 1mb (just on rock kit cocktail has the 74mb) so i think i’m officially stumped..
EDIT: well i’ve uninstalled again and installed but didn’t install the updates and it works not sure why but it works.. i got all sounds for the cocktail (72mb) and rock kit (268 mb)
