Hello,
I have a very simple question, but strangely I was unable to find the answer on the Tootrack site nor in the forum or elsewhere on the web.
Can I use EZdrummer 2 from scracth or do I need to have EZdrummer v1.4 already running?
I am asking beacause I’ve been having major installation problems since I changed computer. I had installed EZdrummer OK but when EZdrummer 2 was released I tried to update without success. The installer said EZdrummer 2 was installed but Reaper kept on launching EZdrummer 1 instead. After several email conversations with the Toontrack support which proved totally useless, and several uninstalls and new installs, I decided to gie it a last try. I uninstalled every Toontrack producte from my computer, deleted every Toontrack data left on my hard drives and deleted every Toontrack key in the Windows registry.
Now I would like to run a clean install and get everything to work nicely. I have asked the support to tell me exactly what program I should run in which order (there are so many of them in the “my products” section), but all they answered was “We have already answered this question in our last email”…
Can anybody here help me please? This piece of software is brilliant once it runs, but installing it is a horrible mess.

Run the EZD 2 installer for the version compatible with your host (32-bit version for a 32-bit DAW and the 64-bit for a 64-bit DAW). Run the latest 2.0.2 update for said version. Download and install the Pop/Rock EZX. This will give you the EZdrummer 1 sounds and MIDI. Install any other EZXs and update for those EZXs.

Thank you. It did work, and it does look hugely improved compared to the previous version.
I installed EZdrummer 2 and the 202 update. Now I see a “sound libraries update” in “my products”, and the readme file says that it updates the EZX. Does this mean that I should install first the EZX (I have Pop/rock EZX and The Classis EZX), then run the sound libraries update?

The order of the sound library update installs don’t matter.

Thank you, I’m happy to finally have it all!
