Increasing one section by 1 octave

In a song I’m working on, I have the chorus repeated 3 times in the outro section .. I went to increase the second of the three by one octave, but THE ENTIRE LINE went up by 1 octave.   Is there a way to apply an octave (or any transposition) to only one section of a created track?  Thanks.

Hi,

if you use the scissor tool to make cuts so the part you want to transpose is separated from the rest, you can transpose it independently.

Oh, I see what I was doing wrong.   I was changing the octave from the piano itself .. but when I double clicked on it, a separate window came up to change just that section.
