I want to use Toontrack Superior Drummer 3 together with Universal Audio LUNA as DAW to record my drumparts on a Roland TD50. I use multichannel setup and my input gain was setup so it’s peaking around -12dB on all channels. When I’m going into record OR when I select all drum channels the input gain increases around 15 dB (3dB increase per channel selected) causing some channels to clip (OL indicator on). Probably it’s a setting, but can’t find out how or where.
Hopefully someone can help me with this.
Hi,
as I understand it, this is happening in LUNA, not inside SD3. Without having your LUNA Project to inspect, it’s hard to guess what is happening but just creating an SD3 MultiOut Track and rec arming or selecting the Tracks in LUNA does not make the volume jump here.

Hi John,
Yes, it’s happening in LUNA and not inside SD3. Also it only happens when I’m triggering SD3 with the Roland TD50, when I use my mouse to trigger the kit in the drums tab of SD 3 the increase will not occur in record ready or with LUNA tracks selected?!?
Best Regards,
Remco
