    Hi there,

In the drum builder can you tell us what the actual cymbal is.
Is this the core SD3 Library ?

    Which preset are you using?

When it’s convenient , please update to 3.4.0

In addition to Brad’s suggestions, check both your Choke/Mute Trigger property box settings as well as the Choke All (AT) in the grid editor.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I updated to 3.4.0, still no luck.

This is the Core Library only, I don’t own any expansions.

The cymbal is the 20″ Paiste 2002 Medium Crash/Ride

I don’t remember the name of the preset, I changed a couple of toms and saved it as a custom preset some time ago. I do know that the preset

contained Pearl Masterworks toms, a 20×22 Ayotte Classic bass drum, and the 6.5×14 Tama Bell Brass snare.

    Hi, thanks for replying.

Where is the Choke/Mute Trigger property box located? Or the Choke All (AT) setting? I couldn’t find either of them. What does the choke all function do exactly? What is it for?

    Hi there,

In the properties for that instrument/cymbal can you make sure the Crash Articulation is active/selected/highlighted?

    Hi,

you can see that all Cymbals have an individual ‘Choke (stop playing)’ lane in the Grid Editor and it chokes the individual Cymbals. There is also a ‘Choke All’ lane at the bottom, where ‘Velocity’ is displayed by Default. Putting in a message here Chokes all Cymbals at the same time.Screenshot-2025-06-09-at-10.03.04

    Hi all,

Turns out it was the Choke All lane all along. There were quite a few messages in that lane and I removed them. Voila, that did it.

I didn’t intentionally put those messages there, it must have happened when I recorded the drum track initially.

Anyhow, thanks to everyone for your help, I learned yet another thing SD3 can do.

if you were using a MIDI device with after touch, it might have happened by pressing down hard as you hit the note. The t happens.
