After having trouble with Mac OSX 10.9.3 and Cubase Elements 7 trial version (created synth plug-in issues), I reverted back to my previous Mac OSX 10.6.8 and CubaseLE4. I had to re-install all of my synth & drum software and CubaseLE4. Now I have a weird problem I don’t recall seeing before. Say I open a “session” of EZDrummer on Cubase track 1. But when I try to drag & drop the EZDrummer MIDI drum/groove pattern into Cubase track 1 (where EZDrummer is residing), the MIDI drum pattern won’t go into track 1. Instead Cubase creates an “Instrument Track” (not track 1, but some other track number), and the MIDI drum pattern ends up there! I can drag the MIDI drum pattern from the newly created “Instrument Track” (not track1) and put it into track 1. This is a big hassle. What is happening and what is the solution? Is there some setting in Cubase I need to set?
Edit: I posted this same issue on recordingreviewdotcom since it is likely a Cubase setting or issue. Someone else posted that they have the same problem in Superior Drummer. I have not re-installed my Superior Drummer yet. For me I have the same problem whether I’m just in regular EZDrummer, Latin Percussion EZX, Rock Solid EZX, or IndyFolk EZX.
