Hey all.
I have a drum loop at 95bpm and my song is at 82bpm.
I love the groove of the drum loop but it’s obviously too fast. So I’ve imported it into TRACKER. How to I get the this thing to playback at 82bpm AFTER I’ve analyzed all the drum sounds from the loop.
I press play on Pro Tools and the loop (has it’s sounds replaced) are playing back at 95.
Of course, Toontrack has no phone support and to get answers ASAP is reduced to forums, Youtube, emails, yada, yada… which leaves to a frustrated client in studio.
Help!
Why don’t you change the loop in protools to 82bpm? I know it’s simple enough to do in Cubase. Set SD3 tempo to 82bpm and follow host. Export the midi and change tempo. Quite a few options
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
You don’t have to change any tempo information at all. The tracker can recognize the tempo of the imported loop regardless of what the tempo of the song is. Once you have the bars and beats lined up in the tracker and your kit pieces selected for replacement, export the MIDI to SD3’s timeline, ignoring the tempo. It will then conform to whatever tempo is set in your DAW, assuming that follow host is on.
