Importing a Midi “snippet” from Logic Pro X into EZBass (needs to be trimmed)

Hope I am just missing something easy to fix.

When I select a snippet of midi in Logic Pro X (e.g. originally from EZKeys), export as a midi file (saved midi file), then drag and TRY to drop the “Snippet” (e.g. 8bars) into EZBass, the problem: the length of the snippet needs to be cut down (although the midi notes are the right length). Trimming is not that much of a problem, however the length of the snippet seems to copy over other sections of the song (e.g. a verse or chorus already completed in EZBass).

EZbass version: 1.0.9

To get around that, you could for example create a second track in EZbass, drag the MIDI to the empty second track, trim it, then move it to the correct place on the first track.
