This happened to me this week and I brought the file into my daw and saw that the sample didn’t start right away in the wav form. So I re-rendered the wav starting at the beat… Hope that makes sense..

Agh, there’s a new question then……where can I render this file, if not using my Pro-Tools?

I know what you mean, though – need to make sure the sound wave is right at the start……!

If any of you can render this so it starts at the beginning I’d appreciate it!

The attached file is a cracking snare!

Also, can I edit this in Toontrack in the Tracker tab or something?

Here ya go..I checked it in my Standalone and it works …I don’t think you can render the sound though in TRACKER….

Marco, if you have protocols you can do this too BTW 🙂

    1000 thanks for this!

Did you do it in Pro-Tools or similar?

I used an online converter to change everything from mp3 to .wav which includes all of Paiste cymbal sound library from their Soundroom.  Zildjian don’t seem to do it for their cymbals 🙁

Two items I always ‘struggle’ with to get a nice kit are the snare and the ride cymbal.

I need to get into how you have done this as this really does open up the power of SD3 and what I can build.  It’s endless!

I downloaded Audacity software and now this is beginning to be fun!

All my snares now done – now for the whole Paiste Cymbals library – 900, 2002 & Signature series…..

Yes I used REAPER which is the equivalent of  protools (it also gives you a free trial period)…You really don’t have to convert the Mp3 to .wav as  any more conversion can degrade the file even more…SD3 can use the mp3 to trigger the sounds…It is best to find .wav files for more quality sounds but not necessary…
