Okay, I’m not real experienced with MIDI and/or drum software and what I’m doing isn’t working…please help. I just bought ezdrummer as I was in need of studio drums. I’m trying to run it on an old cubase LE and after much ado and frustration, I was able to get cubase to acknowledge a signal from toontrack/ezdrummer. However, when I hit record, the signal was lost. Later I was then able to drag a sample from the groove library to a MIDI track and it showed up on the track! However, it won’t play back…(no sound) so it just looks like its there but apparently its not?. I’ve turned to Ableton Live LE for help with the same results. I just installed sonar LE on my comp so if need be I can use that. Please give me step by step instructions in whatever platform y’all think would be best for me to use. Thanks in advance and know that you may be sparing me the discomfort of a straight jacket in the near future.

Hi,
first make sure you have downloaded and applied the latest EZdrummer update.
Next, please do not run EZdrummer in Toontrack solo at the same time as your host, because that’s what it sounds like you are trying to do.
EZdrummer is a plugin and can be loaded inside Ableton or Cubase. LE versions are not officially supported but you should still be able to get some decent operation.

John
