i’m back, hopefully i can get some help on why presets dont stick

Sorry for being mad the other day.  It was really bad to realize you lose everything. lol I now have time machine getting those files regardless.

I remember now why I used projects to save.  I have a second drum head unit that i use for a few extra cymbals.

If i save a preset, it does not remember my little extra pads. If i save a project it does

In garage band.  I start a new project, pop in my ezdrummer, and load up the preset on the right side.

all the second drum pads go back to default.  I even have them set up as their own midi notes. ie. I start that head at midi note – 100. 100 and 102 is china, 103 and 104 is splash. and a few other along those lines, additionally on the normal roland TD-07 head unit i all my other regualr drums are on

what am i doing wrong where i cant save this as a preset and keep my extra pads set up right?

Does that make sense?

To expand on Shootie‘s post, You have two components here: the preset and a drum map. it is not enough to just save the preset. You have to save the drum map as well. The benefit of saving the drum map is that you can apply it to any preset once recalled, thus only having to do this once.

if you have a project with your desired saved drum map, and kit preset, save it as a default so that EZ Drummer will load your project when starting up fresh.
