If I’m not online, ezdrummer freezes upon loading..

i get stuck on the splash screen if i try to open the stand alone, alternately my daw(reaper) freezes trying to load ezdrummer.

sometimes it doesnt seem to connect even when I appear to be online. In the past its done this when it needed to update. so now i always open my toontrack product manager and see that all my stuff is “ready to use” sometimes I still have to restart and make sure the stand alone will open. If it does I shut it and open my DAW and everything works as it should.     Its only upon starting ezdrummer, if I do it or if the daw does it.

I shouldn’t have to be online right? Or EZD shouldn’t have to contact toontrack every time it opens? Or is something else going on and I’m just an idiot?

Hi,

No, you shouldn’t have to be online, it does not try to connect anywhere at startup.

This could have something to do with removable disk drives (for example an SD card reader), if the media is inserted or ejected.

If that doesn’t help, you could create a dump file (using Task Manager) for the frozen process and send it in a support ticket so we can see what is happening.
