I put together a rudimentary drum track for a project then came back to it a few days later. I was trying to find out exactly which drum loop I had used but couldn’t figure out how to do it. In my daw midi editor the midi loop is labelled ‘add on packs/fusion grooves/halftime/swing 4/4/ fusion shuffle 175’. This helped me narrow it down, but the problem is there are a ton of loops with the same name with this particular EZ drummer libary.
Rather than play them all, is there an easier way? I tried dragging the midi clip from my daw back into EZ drummer midi drop zone, but nothing happens.
SMH – turns out the loop title embedded in the DAW clip was longer than I thought. If I extended the clip length the rest of the title appeared, and voila, I could find it easily in EZ drummer.
Drag the clip wider in your DAW, until you get the whole file name. It will end in something like 01CH1. You can then bring the clips into your DAW and find the match.
Right Click the loop. Select Find and select containing folder in grooves. It brings up the originating folder
