There are loads of DAWs out there, not just Cubase. You can’t expect toontrack to do this since Cubase is not their software. Why would they? SD3 already has its own interface with its own map and midi editing software. I’m a Cubase user by the way and use use Cubase drum maps but this really isn’t up to toontrack to create Cubase drum maps.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Thanks for your reply. Don’t get me wrong, please, I really don’t want a company to do another company’s work. I’m just a buying customer and ask for improvement of my work flow. If I’m the only customer with this idea then it’s totally okay with me that the company will ignore me.

Maybe I don’t understand drum maps.

I thought that a drum map is a standardized *.drm file in form of a general spread sheet where you have:

    • one column containing all the keyboard notes from C-2 to H8 and
    • one column containing all names of the sounds that are triggered

So while the first column is always the same, only the second column changes.

    For example:

Note       “Rock Foundry”           “Hansa Marble”     “Fields of rock”

    C7           Side Snare Rimshot    Octoban 6″x10″      Hi-Tom 8″x8″

I don’t see a reason why a spread sheet can’t be turned into a drum map.

Maybe Toontrack could add a general two column spread sheet for all DAW where I can copy and paste the information.

Or is there even a program to transform a spread sheet into a drum map?

I scoured the internet a while back and found a bunch of EZX drum maps for Cubase. I then started creating my own drum maps for the SDX’s that I own. I have posted them in my dropbox account. Feel free to use any that you want. If you find any mistakes, as I’m sure you will, please correct them and send them back to me so that I can update and share them with other Cubase users.

Let me know if you have any problems!

Thanks for your reply, Mac, and the kind offer!

I opened dropbox and logged in with my google account. But I did not agree with the final terms. Why does dropbox want to download my contacts / address book?

Could we exchange drum maps personally?
