For a lot of what I do, I just want a nice groove shaker, light hi-hats, percussive thing, which I find so much easier to follow/jam with than a click, but there doesn’t seem to be any pre-set midid patterns for this? Am I missing something?
All of the preset midi stuff feels like full on rock beats, even the Americana kit that I purchased.
Everything SOUNDS great, but I don’t want full on drum kit when I’m initially comping an arrangement together.
Advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I’m happy to buy an additional midi-pack, but just want really basic stuff to replace the click.
Thank you.

You can always go into Edit Play Styles from ann empty region and select the shaker and turn up the amount in the groove. Then you will have a shaker to play along with.

Soory, I should have specified what I’m using! Logic basically. I know I can assign the click to a software instrument (bear with me btw, I’m new! – and a couple beers in!), but it doesn’t have the swing that pre-made midi patterns have, and I wondered if they existed for EXdrummer. Did you mean the click like?
PS. Why the heck can I not type the word midi? lol
