That photo is a real kit, of the same type they recorded, but not necessarily the actual kit they recorded.

Your 6th tom is included in the Main room kit (right click a tom and choose 7×8″ Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple), along with an extra kick and snare.

It’s just that you can’t load all 6 toms at once on the virtual representation of the kit. However, if you click ‘details’ under that photo, you will see that the kit is described accurately – the sixth tom is ‘extra’.

The virtual kits are really just visual ‘placeholders’ to assign the sounds onto. They bear no relation to the look or configuration of the actual kits recorded. For instance, if you look at the ‘Bright Room’ info on the website, the two photos of the Ludwig and Gretsch kits are small kits. But they actually recorded larger Ludwig and Gretsch kits, with five toms each, and the visual representation allows all five to be loaded.

In the case of the Main Room Studio kit, I don’t know why they would cut the placeholders down from 6 to 5 toms, if they recorded 6. Maybe they want to nudge us into buying one of the large expansions if we want a bigger kit?
