Hello,
I recently purchased an Ez Drummer 2 license and recently installed it on my computer. Everything seems to be fine, I even see that a folder has been created in VST Plugins carpet of my PC with the Ez Drummer 2 plugin.
However, I can’t configure or install this plugin in the Adobe Audition or Studio One DAW that I have.
What should I do to be able to install it and enjoy Ez Drummer 2 on either of my two DAWs?
I wait for your answer.
Thank you so much.
Hi,
First of all, have you tried EZD2 standalone? Do you have any sound? If yes, then you have a working EZD.
I use Studio One with a working EZD plugin myself. In Studio One start a new song. Push at “Browse Button”(lower right corner). if you look at “instruments” Do you see a Toontrack folder? Or push the “looking glass” and search for EZdrummer. When there is no result, Studio One cant find the VST plugin. Change it in the Studio One settings where to find them.
If you do have the EZdrummer instrument, create a new track of type instrument and choose as output EZdrummer and press ok.
Another method would be the create a new instrument track, press ok, then simply drag and drop the EZdrummer VST in the track.
Normally that should be all

Thanked by: Marc_49Hi, are you super sure your DAWs are scanning the folder where the EZD plugin is?

EZdrummer version: 2.1.8
Operating system: Windows 10
for Studio One
If EZDrummer is not showing up in your list of VST instruments,
1) Start EZDrummer standalone.
2) Go into help > show plug-in path and make note of path. Shut down standalone.
3) in Studio One, go to Options/Locations/VST Plug-ins and add/verify the path from step 2
4) restart Studio One

Thanked by: Marc_49Hi Andre,
I just made what you told to me (change the pluguin VST configuration, more than once, in Studio One) and it works now!
Even so, I have the same problem in the Adobe Audition DAW… It did not detect the plugin inside the folder where it is, in the “Audio Plug-in Manager”.
Someone would know what could be due?
I attach some screenshots to show that problem.
Thank you so much!
Hi,
Yes! In Studio One now it works. But not in Adobe Audition.
It did not detect the plugin inside the folder where it is, in the “Audio Plug-in Manager”.
Do you know what could be due?
I attach some screenshots to show that problem.
Thank you so much!

Sorry does look like it should work. Unfortunately I’ve zero experience with AA.

As I don’t Adobe at all, I am assuming you tried this but thought I would ask. What happens when you click Scan for Plug-ins, in the Adobe plug-in manager?

Hi Brad,
Yes, I tried to click “Scan for Plug-ins” in the Adobe Plug-in Manager, but it doesn’t work either… It appears that nothing is found in these folders.
But don’t worry! At least now I can use it in Studio One and standalone!
Thank you so much for the help!
Glad to read it works in Srudio One now.
I haven’t looked it up, but does Toontrack support Adobe Audition?
If yes, you could create a support ticket?
Hi Andre,
I think so, that Toontrack support Adobe Audition. But I don’t know what’s a support ticket…
I tried to install the plugin in the Audition programe, but it did not detect the plugin inside the folder where it is, in the “Audio Plug-in Manager”.
Thank you very much for your attention!
I can get Ezmix to work in Adobe Audition, but I can not get it to work or even find my ezdrummer3, ezkeys, or even any of my native instrument (instruments). It will find my NI effects vst’s like guitar rig 6 and Phasis but no actual instruments. I am leaning towards Toontrack instruments do not work inside Adobe Audition, but their effects software seems to.
