This installation is on my Windows 7 PC which I’m not using any longer; I’m using Macs now.
Problem:
I can’t uninstall 64 bit because I uninstalled 32 bit first (error message I must have 32-bit version). Now I can’t reinstall 32-bit EZdrummer because I still have the 64-bit EZdrummer installed. Install Shield sees the 64-bit version as a newer version and won’t let me reinstall the 32-bit version (update it) and then restart the uninstall process over again with the 64-bit version uninstalled first. So I’m stuck. I can’t uninstall the 64-bit EZdrummer.
Please help
Hi,
I uninstalled EZdrummer (32-bit) on my Windows 7 setup and couldn’t uninstall the 64-bit after that either. What I did was to re-install EZdrummer from the Full Download archive (available in your Toontrack account) and then I could Uninstall the 64-bit version.

John’s steps should help. Note however that the 64-bit EZdrummer ‘update’ is basically one dll file that weight a couple of MB so I wouldn’t be too worried if you can’t uninstall it.

I did use the “full download” from my account and I got the following warning:
IMPORTANT: You are about to download an electronic copy of your Toontrack software. It is not necessarily up-to-date with the latest software revision and we strongly recommend you download the latest software update and library patches, if any are available, once you have performed the initial installation of the product.
So as I described above, this version needs to be updated after it is downloaded and the Toontrack install shield will not allow me to do that since is sees the existing 64-bit version.
I would still expect Toontrack to fix this bug. I do like my Toontrack products and I want to feel secure in knowing that Toontrack respects my loyalty and dollars enough to fix those products no matter how small the issue.
I am confused by your reports… only the 32-bit installers are included in the full download and will have no problem being run with the 64-bit on the system. You do not have to update the 32-bit if your goal is to remove the program, that would be a waste of time.
… if you have an issue following the steps John outlined then you need to upload screenshots for us as as far as I’m concerned there is zero reason for this not to work.
